Annoying Pop Up Windows

For Advertisers, pop up windows are often used as a most effective medium to promote. Without having to click on a link or banner, pop up windows will appear automatically when a visitor opens a blog. But for some bloggers or blog visitors this sometimes annoying. In some cases, a pop-up windows appear with greater numbers, thus a lot like a scam.

For bloggers who join paid review program, the appearance of pop-up windows will be very annoying. Advertiser will not entrust their review written in blogs that have pop up windows because it will affect the visitors. The appearance of pop up windows for the visitor will disrupt and make slow on pages loading when browsing, so the most likely visitors will immediately leave the blog that generate pop-up

Actually where is pop-up windows came from? As far as I know, there are two sources of pop-up windows. The first comes from the paid program that we join, especially in the Paid To Click (PTC) programs. Besides text ads, link ads or banner ads, the advertiser also promote through the pop-up windows because it is considered as an effective means of advertising.

The second source is from the widgets that we put on the blog. Using third parties to install the widget should becareful because there is a policy to display pop up windows without our knowledge.

Then how do we eliminate pop up windows when it getting disturbing?

1. We can use firefox browser for helping to block pop up windows that appear. This method does not eliminate the pop-up windows, but just block and hiding the pop up windows.
2. Check back paid program that we follow, especially the PTC program. If pop-up windows are very interfere, we can send an email to the service provider to stop the pop-up ads or we can remove them directly from our blogs.
3. Watch out of the widget. I found one widgets that installed the pop up windows, namely rankwidget.com. Rank widget is often used by bloggers to display the information on google page rank and alexa traffic rank.

First I have tried various ways to eliminate pop up windows but it waist. When I try to delete the existing rank widget on my blog, pop up windows disappear. So be careful in installing the widget.

Pop up windows on the one hand gives a positive aspect, but on the other side will give a negative effect. It depends on where you look .... so remove it or unremove your pop-up windows ...
